Prof. Yang Xiao

Dr. Yang Xiao currently is a full Professor of Department of
Computer Science at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA. His current
research interests include communications/networks and computer/network
security. He has published over 200 SCI-indexed journal papers and over 200 EI
indexed refereed conference papers and book chapters related to these research
areas. Dr. Xiao’s papers have more than 12000 citations and his h-index is 56,
based on Google scholar on Aug. 1 2014. Dr. Xiao was listed among 800 computer
science researchers with h-index larger than or equal to 40. His research has
been supported by the U.S. NSF, U.S. Army Research, GENI, Fleet Industrial
Supply Center-San Diego, FIATECH, and The University of Alabama’s Research
Dr. Xiao was a Voting Member of IEEE 802.11 Working Group from 2001 to 2004, involving IEEE 802.11 (WIFI) standardization work. He is a Fellow of IET (FIET). He servedrves as a Panelist for the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), The Global Environment for Network Innovations (GENI), Canada Foundation for Innovation’s Telecommunications expert committee, and the American Institute of Biological Sciences, as well as a Referee/Reviewer for many national and international funding agencies. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Security and Networks and International Journal of Sensor Networks. He had (s) been an Editorial Board or Associate Editor for 15 international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, during 2014 to 2015, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, during 2007 to 2009, and IEEE Communications Survey and Tutorials, during 2007 to 2014. He served (s) as a Guest Editor for over 20 times for different international journals, including IEEE Network, IEEE Wireless Communications, and ACM/Springer Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET). Dr. Xiao has delivered over 20 keynote speeches at international conferences around the world and gave more than 60 invited talks at different international institutes.
Prof. Alexander Balinsky

Prof. Alexander Balinsky received his PhD degree in Mathematical Physics from the Landau Institute of Theoretical Physics in 1990 and was Research Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology from 1993 till 1997. He joined Cardiff University in 1997.He is a Professor in the Cardiff School of Mathematics and WIMCS (Wales Institute of Mathematical and Computational Sciences) Chair in Mathematical Physics. His current research interests lie in the areas of spectral theory, stability of matter, image processing and machine learning.He has participated in EU TMR network on Partial Differential Equations and Quantum Mechanics (1996-2001).He was PI on three years grant from United State-Israel Binational Science Foundation (1996-1999),on three years EPSRC Research Grant 2003-2006.He was founding member of Cardiff Communication Research Center.In 2007-2011 he had joint with Hewlett-Packard EPSRC CASE award,and from October 2011 joint with Hewlett-Packard 50%-50% PhD Scholarship.He also did consultancy work for Reuters, London on athematical models for Internet Security.
Prof. Alessandro Rizzi

Alessandro Rizzi is Full Professor at the Department of
Computer Science at the University of Milan, teaching Fundamentals of Digital
Imaging and Colorimetry. He is doing research since 1990 in the field of digital
imaging with a particular interest on color, visualization, photography, HDR and
on the perceptual issues related to digital imaging, interfaces and lighting.
He is the head of the MIPS Lab at the Department of Computer Science. He has been one of the founders of the Italian Color Group, Secretary of CIE Division 8, IS&T Fellow and Vice President. In 2015 he received the Davies medal from the Royal Photographic Society.
He is co-chair of the IS&T Conference “Color Imaging: Displaying, Processing, Hardcopy and Applications”, Topical Editor for “Applied Color Science” of the Journal of Optical Society of America A, Associate Editor of Journal of Electronic Imaging, member of several program committees of conferences related to color and digital imaging, and author of more than 300 scientific works.
